This is the current standing as at MPOC 2 in Bukit Jalil. The 3rd leg MPOC tournament would be held this w/end, 31May thru 1 June. It will be held at the City Stadium in Penang. Two of the Top 3 teams are from Penang, the other being Killer Beez, Terengganu. Theres not many points separating the top 3 teams. the Penangites are sure to battle to the max at their homeground, but KBz are not easy pushovers - MPOC3, The Governor's Cup would be crucial for the top teams and should be an interesting tourney for the D2s. So come on guys WE CAN DO IT - psyche ourselves up - get the
semangat..we are going to Penang to WIN. ...you think about it...

MPOC Penang 3rd Leg - 30th June – 1st July 2007
Team Killer Beez flagged off from Ali Baba Restaurant in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail at about 0100 early Saturday morning with a convoy of two cars and a SUV. After initial checking of our gears and securing them into the Storm SUV, we were off. We were to rendezvous with Alex, Killer Beez’s captain in Taiping. After some initial pit stops, we finally arrived in Taiping at about 0415; we were escorted by Alex to his home somewhere in the area. After a short adhoc nap and freshening up, we pushed off to Penang and reached the tournament fields in Padang Dato’ Keramat in George Town at 0815.
After completing registration and other admin matters, the Team prep themselves for our first game at 0845. For the preliminaries, we were to play 10 teams out of 13 of Division 2 teams. The teams came from the Klang Valley and the northern regions.
We were slotted to play 4 games before lunch and 3 games in the afternoon and 3 the next day.We were also to play the invitational M7 Xball Lite format recently introduce as a demo tourney in early 2007, as a tournament highlights during the lunch breaks. The Xball Lite format is a 15 minutes game with a 2.5 minutes pitstop time after each set-game. The first team to reach 5 games scoreline and within the 15 minutes, wins. Team Northern Shield, the Perlis Paintball lions was to be our opponents for the leg.

Team Killer Beez performed exceptionally well in the prelims during the two tourney days, dropping only 2 games, to Teams Werdna Hol and AK47 respectively, both are manned by a combination of experienced Division Ones and Twos players. Both games were very close with only 1 or 2 remaining opponents. Killer Beez qualified for the Quarters which were to be held the next day.
M7 - Open Division (Invitational)
Killer Beez played a very fast and aggressive game. With our guest player, 
Hamman, from Team Manawave, both flanks movements were effectively syncronised, giving our centres space to pick the opponents one by one. The game was intense and the excitement got the crowd cheering for the teams. Northern Shield was playing hard with nothing to lose. Killer Beez was in the running for top places…..we couldn’t risk losing a game. Killer Beez aggressiveness and teamwork paid off, we beat Northern Shield 5 Games to nil….it was no easy victory. We are now ranked 1st in the M7 format.
The Quarters
Killer Beez qualified for the quarters, grouped together with established Teams - AK47, XXtioneers, both the joint organiser’s (xtionpaintball) international level teams and Perlis All-Stars. Against all expectations, the wily Beez won against XXtioneers, AK47 and Perlis All-Stars and qualified for the Semis. By beating these teams, Killer Beez inadvertently opened up the race for the overall top four teams in the Division Two of the MPOC league.
The Semis
Killer Beez was up against Werdna Hol for the Semis-1 and Manawave and Ak47 in Semis-2. It was a best of three games format. The first game against Werdna Hol was intense, propulsion problems and luck was not on our side. We lost the first game.
In the 2nd game, with the crowd cheering, it was a cliff hanger…one by one, on both sides players were shot out. At the end, Killer Beez was left with one man standing against Werdna Hol’s two...Killer Beez’s Ice charged out from the flank ran up to the opponents 70’s line and took out both opponents. The Beez won the second game.
The final 3rd game was long and intense, at the end it came down to two players on each side. Killer Beez’s Mud expired his marker’s compressed air. Pingu was on the left flank firing support for Mud who was running empty to the opponent’s 50s and trying for the flag. A Werdna Hol’s player emerged from the 60’s bunker and shot Mud. Another flanker got Pingu on the sides. A player from Werdna Hol had to be supported out of the field due to heat and fatigue.
It was a close one, but it was not to be for Team Killer Beez to enter the Finals….this time.
The playoff for 3rd and 4th against Team Manawave was a one game format. The fight in the semis apparently took its toll on the team, the Beez put up a good fight but was downed - and we settled for fourth placing. It was a good outing in a great tourney. We have made good impression with our teamwork and fighting spirits and shown the other teams that established teams were not unbeatable.
